TERMS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST

«Trust the Red Ribbon»

1. CONTEST OBJECTIVE

The company "Biscuit and Food Product Manufacturing Company E.J. PAPADOPOULOS S.A." (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”), located in Tavros, Attica, 26 Petrou Ralli Street, VAT number 094031399 of the KEFODE Attikis, and GEMI registration number 274601000, is organizing, in collaboration with the company "DOPE STUDIO DATA SYSTEMS AND INTERNET COMMUNICATION S.A.", known as “DOPE”, based in Agia Paraskevi, Attica, 451 Mesogeion Avenue, ZIP code 15343, VAT number 095756010 of the KEFODE Attikis (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”), a promotional campaign titled "Trust the Red Ribbon" (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”) as part of the Company’s commercial promotion of its products. 

Participants will be required to fill in their details and the barcode from a Papadopoulos product on the Contest website. An electronic lottery will then select one winner who will receive a 7-day all-inclusive stay for two people in Rhodes, and another winner who will receive a 7-day all-inclusive stay for two people in Corfu, along with an equal number of alternates. 

Participation in the Contest requires the purchase of a Papadopoulos product. Other products that may contain Papadopoulos products as ingredients (such as ice creams containing Papadopoulos biscuits) are not eligible for participation in the Contest.

2. CONTEST DURATION

The Contest will run from 16/06/2025 (at 11:00 Greece time) to 24/07/2025 (at 23:59 Greece time). 

Valid entries are those submitted by the abovementioned date and time or any new end date as may be set in case of an extension. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without notice, to modify, cancel, extend, or shorten the duration of the Contest upon announcement. Any such changes will take effect immediately upon publication on the website www.trusttheredribbon.com. 

It is explicitly stated that after the Contest end date, no further entries will be accepted. Entries submitted after the Contest end date will be considered void and will not have any effect or bind the Organizer or any third party. 
 

3. ELIGIBILITY – RESTRICTIONS ON PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST

Eligibility to participate in the Contest is granted to any interested natural person who is a permanent resident outside of Greece (i.e., not a permanent resident of Greece) and who is not a Greek national, provided that the person is at least eighteen (18) years old and has full legal capacity. 

Each individual is allowed to participate up to three (3) times per day in the contest by submitting a unique email, a unique foreign mobile phone number, and a valid barcode from a Papadopoulos product. A participant may submit up to three (3) entries per day for as many days as they wish during the contest period. Each unique entry must be submitted via a separate participation form submission. Participation from the same individual using either a different email or mobile phone number is prohibited.

Participation in the Contest is prohibited for employees of the Company and the Organizer, as well as their first- and second-degree relatives and spouses. 

Participation in the Contest is also prohibited for persons with Greek nationality, even if they are residents abroad, and for individuals who, regardless of nationality, have permanent residence in Greece. 

Participation in the Contest requires internet access using the participant’s own technical means and at their own expense. The Organizer and the Company are not responsible for any technical issues that may temporarily prevent participation from being registered in their system or in systems operated by third parties acting on their behalf. 

Participation in the Contest does not grant any rights against the Organizer or the Company, including any intellectual or industrial property rights.

4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST

To participate in the Contest, the participant must visit the website www.trusttheredribbon.com (hereinafter referred to as the "Contest Website"), fill in their personal details (full name, email, and mobile phone number), and enter the barcode from a Papadopoulos product either manually or by scanning it with a mobile camera. Participants must consent to the collection and processing of their personal data for the purposes of the Contest by selecting "I agree" on the consent statement, confirming that their personal data may be used by the Company and/or its partners acting on its behalf according to the Contest Terms, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy. 

The Organizer has created and technically supports the website www.trusttheredribbon.com on behalf of the Company, through which the Contest is conducted. For the purposes of the Contest, the Organizer collects and processes the required participant data, conducts the electronic lottery to select the winners, communicates with the winners, and collects the information required for sending the prizes to the winners on behalf of the Company.

Each participant in the Contest must act legally, according to good and commercial ethics and in accordance with these terms. 
In the event of winning, each participant must present their foreign ID and, if required, provide a copy of a certificate of permanent residence outside Greece in order to claim their prize.

Failure to do so will give the Company and/or the Organizer the right to cancel the participant’s entry.

5. SELECTION OF WINNERS  

One (1) winner and one (1) alternate winner will be selected for a 7-day all-inclusive stay for 2 people in Rhodes. Another (1) winner and one (1) alternate winner will be selected for a 7-day all-inclusive stay for 2 people in Corfu. The selection of the winners and alternates will take place through an electronic lottery conducted by DOPE on 28/07/2025 at 11:00, under the terms outlined below.

The selection of winners and alternates will be based on all valid entries. A “valid entry” is defined as any entry that meets the following conditions: (a) it has been submitted in accordance with the terms and procedure described in these terms of participation, (b) it has not been affected by illegal technical influence from the participant or a third party on the systems of the Organizer and the Company, nor has it been subject to fraud or unlawful intervention, and (c) it has been submitted and recorded in the systems of the Organizer and the Company within the Contest period.

The winners and alternates will be selected using the digital platform randompicker.com, which ensures no human intervention in the selection process. The alternates will be called in order of their lottery selection to replace any excluded or unreachable winner.

The names of the winners will be posted on the Contest Website and will remain posted for the necessary period until the prizes are redeemed, for a maximum duration of three (3) months. At the same time, the winners will be notified of the results within twenty (20) business days of the draw via email and/or telephone, using the contact details provided.

If, within five (5) business days of the email and phone communication, the Company or the Organizer does not receive a response from any winner, or if the winner fails to provide the necessary details for claiming their prize, or if they provide inaccurate details, or violate any terms of the Contest, the Company has the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel the participation, thereby forfeiting the winner’s rights to the prize, and the first alternate will be contacted. If the same conditions apply to the alternate, their rights will be forfeited as well, and the next alternate will be contacted.

The claiming of prizes will occur within forty (40) business days from the date of the draw. Any unclaimed prizes, as outlined above, may be distributed at the sole discretion of the Company, and no claims may be made against it.

6. PRIZES

• One (1) winner shall receive a 7-day all-inclusive stay for two (2) individuals in Rhodes.
• One (1) winner shall receive a 7-day all-inclusive stay for two (2) individuals in Corfu.

The prizes are provided by the Company in their current form and may not be sold, exchanged for money, or substituted for other services. Furthermore, the prizes are non-transferable to relatives or third parties.

• Type of Stay: All-inclusive (including Greek breakfast, lunch & dinner served in a show cooking buffet, with snacks and drinks available throughout the day)
• Hotel: 4-star Mitsis Belvedere Hotel
• Room Type: Twin Sea View
• Check-in from 14:00 / Check-out until 12:00

The liability of the Organizer and the Company is strictly limited to the provision of the aforementioned Prizes in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The prizes cover only the accommodation and do not include any other costs or expenses, such as airfare, ferry tickets, transportation, etc. Furthermore, the prizes do not cover the accommodation tax, which for 2025 is set at €10 per night for 4-star hotels. The relevant accommodation tax for 2026, which will be determined at that time, will also need to be covered by the winner. The Company and the Organizer shall not be held responsible for delays, changes, cancellations, or the inability to award the prizes due to weather conditions or other circumstances that hinder the redemption of the prizes, nor for any other acts or omissions pertaining to the redemption process.

Furthermore, should the Organizer be unable to contact the recipient during the procedures required for the prize redemption within a period of three (3) months, the recipient shall automatically and irrevocably forfeit any claim to the prize upon the expiration of this period.

The prizes offered under these terms are provided as part of the Contest, excluding the application of provisions relating to the seller’s liability or other provisions regarding material defects, agreed-upon properties, etc., vis-à-vis the Company.

The Organizer and the Company shall not be held liable, whether criminally or civilly, to any winner or third party for any accident, damage, bodily injury, or any other harm arising directly or indirectly from the conduct of the Contest, the prizes, the use of the prizes, or for any other reason. In any case, the liability of the Company and the Organizer is limited to acts or omissions arising from fraud or gross negligence.

Upon the conclusion of the Contest and the distribution of the prizes as specified above, all obligations of the Company and the Organizer in relation to the Contest shall cease.

7. PERSONAL DATA

As part of this activity, the Company, acting as the Data Controller, will maintain a record of the personal data of the participants, as described above, with the Organizer acting as the Data Processor on its behalf. Such data will be processed solely for the purpose of conducting the Contest. The personal data provided by the Participants will be stored and processed using automated and/or manual methods, as necessary, to ensure the proper execution of the Contest and the selection of the Winners.  
By participating in the Contest, each Participant unconditionally consents to the processing of their personal data at any stage of the Contest and for the purposes of the Contest. 

The personal data of the Participants and Winners will be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, and, in any case, will be destroyed no later than three (3) months after the conclusion and completion of the Contest, unless the retention of such data for a longer period is permitted or required by applicable law, and for as long as necessary for this purpose. 

Recipients of the personal data of the Participants and Winners, as specified above, will primarily be the authorized employees of the Data Controller (the Company) and the Organizer (acting as the Data Processor on behalf of the Company). 

Furthermore, for the implementation of these purposes, the above companies may engage third-party service providers to whom the personal data of Participants or Winners may be disclosed, as needed, such as IT service providers or courier companies, who will process the data on behalf of the Company exclusively for the purposes of the Contest. 

Exceptionally, the Company may disclose the personal data of Participants, Winners, or Alternates, to third parties beyond the aforementioned partners, including relevant police and prosecuting authorities, only if required by law or mandated by a decision/order from a judicial authority. 

The personal data of Participants and Winners/Alternates will be stored on secure servers within the European Union and will not be transferred to destinations outside the European Union. 

The Company, utilizing the services of the Organizer, will take all necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of the processing of Participants' personal data in the Contest. 

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the relevant Greek legislation, each Participant has the right to access, rectify, object to the processing of their personal data, ask any questions related to their data, as well as withdraw or revoke any consents they have provided. 

These rights can be exercised via email at [email protected] or by sending a registered letter to the Company's headquarters at 26 Petrou Ralli Street, Tavros, Athens, 17778, or via email to the Organizer at [email protected] or by sending a registered letter to its headquarters at 451 Mesogeion Avenue, Agia Paraskevi, 15343. 

Finally, each Participant has the right to submit a complaint to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, located at 1-3 Kifisias Avenue, 115 23 Athens, Tel. 2106475600, or via email at [email protected].  

8. ACCEPTANCE OF CONTEST TERMS – CANCELLATION OF PARTICIPATION

Participation in the Contest is deemed as unconditional acceptance of these Contest Terms and the Company’s Privacy Policy. 
 

In addition to the cases mentioned above, the Company retains the right to cancel the participation of any contestant at any stage of the Contest, including during the prize redemption stage, if any of the following conditions apply to the participant: 
 

If, for any reason, the participant does not fully accept these Contest Terms or fails to meet and/or comply with any  of these Terms, which are all considered essential. 
(b) If, for any reason, communication with a winner cannot be made within the predetermined deadlines and in the manner specified in these Contest Terms.  

9. MODIFICATION OF CONTEST TERMS

The Company and the Organizer expressly reserve the right to amend these Contest Terms in any manner during the Contest’s duration, including but not limited to, modifying the Contest dates, altering the prizes offered at their discretion, or cancelling the Contest for any reason. Such modifications will be communicated to the public via the Company’s website https://papadopoulou.gr/, the Contest website www.trusttheredribbon.com, the Company’s social media channels, or by any other appropriate means. The Company and the Organizer shall not bear any liability to any party, whether a participant or not, in relation to such modifications.

10. MISCELLANEOUS TERMS

Participants shall not acquire, nor hold any rights over the trademarks, names, logos, emblems, or other distinctive signs of the Company. 
The Company and/or the Organizer do not warrant that the Contest Website or the servers through which it is made accessible will be free from viruses or other harmful components, nor that the websites, services, options, or their results will be accurate, complete, and available at all times, or that no technical or operational issues will occur.  

Each participant is solely responsible for ensuring that their personal computer or other devices and files are protected from viruses or other harmful programs through the use of appropriate software. In any event, the Company and/or the Organizer shall not be liable for any costs incurred in maintaining, repairing, or correcting the participant’s computer or system due to damages sustained after accessing the Contest Website. 
 

The Company and the Organizer shall not be held liable for failing to fulfill their obligations under this Contest due to force majeure, legislative changes, governmental orders, or any other reason beyond their control. 
 

These Contest Terms shall be governed in their entirety by Greek law. Any disputes arising from the Contest shall be exclusively resolved by the competent courts of Athens. The exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens is accepted by the participants upon their acceptance of the Contest Terms.
